Due to the great importance of sustainability, a lot has now happened in politics and also in society. On July 31, 2023, the European Commission decided to make the ESRS mandatory for all companies subject to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The background to this was that too little progress had been made to date on the European Green Deal.
The EMCO Group is taking an important step towards the future: as early as 2026, we will voluntarily publish our first sustainability report in accordance with CSRD/ESRS, retroactively for the 2025 financial year.
Our goal is to make our sustainability performance transparent and to visibly develop our work in the areas of ESG. The report serves as a basis for us to identify opportunities, drive projects forward and anchor positive changes in the long term.
Even though we are just at the beginning of this journey, we have made a clear decision to consistently align our future initiatives with the requirements of the CSRD – for more responsibility, more transparency and more sustainability.
Our sustainability strategy is based on our corporate purpose: in the two business areas of worklife and architecture, we provide our customers with first-class, durable quality products that make their lives and work easier and more enjoyable.
