emco Group and Kampmann exchange business areas – win-win situation for both companies
Lingen (Ems), 23.11.2017 – Already six months ago they decided to do it, now everything is in the dust: The emco Group and the Kampmann GmbH swap a business area.
At the end of October, Christian Gnass, managing partner of emco Group, and Hendrik Kampmann, managing partner of Kampmann GmbH, signed the contract. Specifically, this means that the emco Group will take over the carpet division of Kampmann and Kampmann the air conditioning technology from emco. In order to be safe in the future and to grow even faster internationally, the companies had decided in May to enter into this unique exchange.

Safe for the future
The signing of the contract was preceded by intensive discussions and constructive planning. For Christian Gnaß, the exchange is a logical step: “Among other things, emco is the market leader for entrance mats. Kampmann is the driving force in many areas of air conditioning technology. Both have lost a competitor and gained partnerships with each other. “By strengthening the respective core areas, both Kampmann and emco are doing very well economically and are also well prepared for the future.
Hendrik Kampmann is also satisfied: “It was a very cooperative relationship. By focusing on the respective core areas, both companies will grow. ”
Jobs are preserved
Both partners consolidate their headquarters in Lingen, because part of the agreement is that no jobs will be lost and the more than 100 affected employees of both companies will suffer no disadvantages.
The emco Group takes over the location of the Kampmann entrance mats in Gräfenhainichen near Leipzig with all employees and properties. The employees of the emco Group in the field of climate are outsourced to emco Klima GmbH. In the medium term, the production of emco Klima products will be relocated to Friedrich-Ebert-Straße in Lingen, the headquarters of Kampmann GmbH.
