At Christmas time, the employees of the emco Group in Lingen got together to collect donations for the “Kinderlachen hilft Heilen“ (Children’s laughter helps healing) project. It is a cooperation project between the Bonifatius Hospital and the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (Campus Lingen). Theater education students regularly visit the young patients in the children’s infirmary. They bring with them a wide repertoire of theater and game activities that are specifically tailored to the needs of young patients. In coordination with the ward team, they create an atmosphere full of joy, distraction and new perspectives for the children’s everyday clinical life.

The commitment of the Round Table 166 service club, whose members volunteer for a wide range of social projects, is also commendable. They contributed their part to the fundraising campaign by donating all proceeds from the sale of mulled wine at the emco Christmas party.

The joint efforts paid off and in the end a donation of €2,500 was collected.
